Ikarus Festival

We have been providing the Ikarus Festival with stable IP network connections and high-performance internal and public Wi-Fi for several years now.


The extensive site with its high tree population requires precise pre-planning of cable and radio routes to ensure that all data transmissions reach their destination smoothly and without latency: from people flow monitoring of the access areas to hundreds of open-loop payment terminals.


Close cooperation with the authorities with regard to security-related monitoring of the site is a challenge, not least due to the proximity to the airport - corresponding security precautions such as active camera and radio frequency monitoring. It goes without saying that all data traffic must comply with data protection requirements - and not just in the context of data transmission to the security authorities.


Our "Public WLAN Hotspot" in the food, VIP and artist areas was able to serve up to 91,000 guests over the entire duration of the festival in 2023. The parallel production network reliably supplied the neuralgic connection points on the entire site to ensure uninterrupted communication for ticket control, social media uploads, emails and the usual messengers in the background at all times
